A little about us
Hey, we're the Drowning Daisies: An alt-folk-ish band of four Christian guys who all strive to glorify our God by creating music. Right off the bat you may ask about the name. Why so depressing? What does it mean? The name “Drowning Daisies” holds deep meaning that is important to our band's mood and purpose. Daisies are simple wildflowers found almost everywhere in all shapes and sizes but despite their simplicity, they are each clothed in a uniquely beautiful way by their Creator. Unfortunately, we live in a fallen world and often storms can leave us broken and wondering. Sometimes, it even seems like we are drowning. But in the end, the humble daisy still stands and the rains water the ground to enable more growth and life. In our music, we refuse to ignore that there are troubles that each one of us face. This world is unfair, our bodies are broken, our minds can be flooded at times, but the one who created us and clothed us knows what's best. Our goal is not to make music that is exclusively for Christians. Instead, we strive to have fun expressing the creativity that God gave us in a way that provokes thought and emotion—all from a Christian worldview.
